Brandon Morrow, Buy High Candidate

In most fantasy formats the K is king so Brandon Morrow should be pretty much universally owned. He's striking out batters at a ridiculous rate of 11.72 per nine innings while walking hitters at a career best 3.57 per nine. Small sample size! you might say. And you'd be right. He's faced just 72 batters this year and we shouldn't draw hard conclusions from such a small number. But what about the number 458? That's the number of batter's he's faced since last May, a stretch during which he's kept his BB/9 right around 3.00, a perfectly acceptable number for a guy who can strike out the world.

Morrow does come with a warning or two. His flyball tendencies aren't going to play as well in Toronto as they did in Seattle, though they should depress his WHIP as they inflate his ERA, and he's never pitched to more than 630 batters in a season (about 150 innings) but he really does seem to have made the adjustments necessary to lowering his walk rate so if you can find a manager looking to "sell high" on the Toronto ace then do it.
