Here we reach the depths of talent in the outfield with plenty of five tool options and surely not a position you want to overpay for. If you have 5 starting outfielders this position might run thin, but otherwise there is plenty to go around.
1. Ryan Braun - His power was down a bit last year, but with his step forward in batting average and steals. He is still the top outfielder.
2. Matt Holliday - He isn't likely to return to 35+ homers again, but his elite average and power/speed numbers make him still one of the best.
3. Matt Kemp - A few more steals and a bit less average, but very close to Holliday. If we could be assured he was batting higher in the order he moves to number 2.
4. Grady Sizemore - We went from looking for 40/40 to hoping he can get healthy. He's still one of the best and has the numbers, but drops with the health concerns.
5. Justin Upton - Five tool players don't come cheap and Upton is headed for the top. In leagues playing outfield positions he is also the number one right fielder.
6. Carl Crawford - He did have his highest caught stealing number of his career, but still totaled 60 steals.
7. Manny Ramirez - He's not going to get suspended again right? Well .300/.400/.500 when playing shows no sign of aging and still worth your pick.
8. Andre Ethier - Not many saw a 30 home run season in his future. Doing it in LA is even more impressive. Expect some regression, but he has finally come into his own.
9. Jayson Werth - He would be higher on the list if not for his continued splits against righties. I wonder if he can repeat the 22 homers against righties.
10. Jason Bay - Time to test the effect of Citi Field on a new subject. Drop his power a bit and his strikeout rate continues to be worrisome.
