Differing Opinions: Morgan for Milledge Trade

Today the Washington Nationals dealt Lastings Milledge and Joel Hanrahan(who we saw his defense really hurt him so far in 2009) for Nyjer Morgan and Sean Burnett. Reading through my feeds I was surprised to see such differing opinions, but Dave Cameron at FanGraphs and R.J. Anderson at Beyond the Box Score came down on opposite sides on this one.

I gotta say I don't see what Dave sees in this deal, but the main point of the argument is the help Morgan gives to the Nationals. My problem with this is it is obvious they won't be contending in the near future so who needs defensive help now? Plus you have this:
Yes, they need defense, but Morgan is basically Ryan Langerhans - a guy they just valued equal to that of Mike Morse - and they have about a dozen outfielders hanging around already.

Dave also suggests that Hanrahan is of little value since relievers don't hold much value, but we know his stats show much better numbers and this could make him or Matt Capps future trade bait. Teams always over value pitchers with crooked numbers in the save column.

Milledge is no sure thing, but could add more power to his numbers. He will also likely need to be hidden in LF at some point. He still is the player in the deal with the highest ceiling.

This trade was a win for the Pirates, but is beating the Nationals at anything really winning?
