The following update came up this morning at Rotoworld.com. This is really going to be his down fall. He has really had trouble developing a good eye and his numbers have yet to show improvement. I reviewed him last season after a power surge, but warned against his contact rate and walk rate.

Brandon Wood has been dismissed from his Dominican winter league team after hitting just .167 in 13 games. Wood was also released from his Mexican winter league team last year after hitting just .152 in nine games. "We put weight on the winter-ball season, but we'll monitor how he is in spring training," general manager Tony Reagins said. "He'll get an opportunity to fight for a job, whether it be at shortstop or at third base."
