Pitcher - Mike Gonzalez (K, S, ERA, WHIP)
No date has been given for his return to the majors yet, but he is on assignment in the minors and pitching well. Soriano continues to have elbow pain even though all tests show nothing. I think Cox will quickly tire of waiting for Soriano and after a short time setting-up Gonzalez will be closing. Even if he doesn't he has always carried good ratio numbers and strikes out more than a batter an inning.

Hitter - Yuniesky Betancourt (BA)
If you need anything other than batting average just keep on looking. There has really never been anything else to look for from him. 2006 he did steal 11 bases, but that would likely be his limit. He is only about a solid average. It's never been a super average either, but for a SS/MI player he is not a horrible pick.
