Book's of Fantasy Value.

We have all gotten those yearly magazines that are printed the same time we are finishing the Christmas cleanup. So why would I suggest a book that is printed the same time?

The information in these books are not a simple projection or a player review. They include thorough stat reviews and projections that can be modified easily if players have significant changes.

The first two are both projections and stat analysis. BP's book is usually in February which keeps the information more fresh.

Bill James is also a good projection set. They both include some information or valuation that are less relevant to Fantasy, but both do the trick.

The last book is something I just started reading. It is not a projection, but a evaluation book on how to give monetary value to players. Why would you want to do that when most leagues are done by drafting and not auction? This I have found to be the best way to create a value for speed players versus power.

How do you decide the value of a 40 homer hitter versus a 20/20. Or a strikeout pitcher versus a elite groundballer.

This book requires a lot of work to put to use, but can help you find some of the hidden stars and also make better picks in the early rounds.

I am planning on a segment at the end of the season to value the year and see what was the true value of players in fantasy. I may turn this into a projection value for next year as well. I will keep you up to date on this as the season goes.

Is there another book you would recommend?
